Habib Bank PLC Zurich (in german Habib Bank AG Zürich) was founded in 1967 as a branch of Habib Bank Limited in Pakistan. Following the nationalisation of the Habib Bank Limited in Pakistan in 1974, Hyder Mohamedali Habib moved from Pakistan to Zurich and ensured that the Zurich branch has become a well respected international institution.[4]
